I thought I would do a step-by-step process of how I draw. It's all done non-digitally until the end where I do clean up, color enhancement, sharpening and add color to the background.

I hope someone finds this helpful, please feel free to ask any questions. Let me know if I should do another tutorial in the future.

This was a good tutorial! You tempt me to try color pencil. (luckily for me they're mostly broken...haha..)

Haha nice! Colored pencils sure do take an awful long time to color with. Gotta have lots of patience! I know I can sometimes get frustrated XD

Rope dug into Patrick’s wrists as he struggled to free his hands. His hot, damp breath washed over his face, trapped by the fabric sack secured over his head.

A floorboard creaked. Patrick froze, his back rigid against the chair, and strained his ears. Another creak.

“Hello?” he called.

The sound of swishing fabric.

“Who’s there? Where am I? Why’d you bring me here?” Blurred memories swam through his mind: drinking at the bar; stumbling home; a shadow sweeping out from an alley.

Fingers grasped his chin and jerked his head upward. “Hush.” A woman’s voice.
